As promised I will recap what I "learned" in my first week of school. This is from Interpersonal Communications.
If you have ever taken a psychology course then you already know about this stuff (I have taken at least two).
Maslow's hierarchy of needs

The assignment was:
Maslow argued that we communicate to meet a variety of needs. These needs range from basic levels, which must be satisfied first, to more advanced needs. Review Maslow's hierarchy above and identify which is most important to you at this point in your life.
My answer:
After reading a little more about Maslow’s hierarchy, I believe that at this point in my life I am seeking most to satisfy self-actualization needs. I believe that in our society it is relatively easy for most of us to fulfill the safety and survival needs. I think that the belonging and self-esteem needs is more focused on by us in our teen years and then if we have somewhat satisfied those we will move into the self-actualization needs. I personally use a variety of methods to seek out and experiment with different interests and “versions” of myself. These range from in-person conversations to online experimenting. For example, I have three different Blogs and each has a unique theme or “version” of me presenting it. I also do allot of research into different interest that I have. This allows me to explore and try out different aspects of life and experiences to give me a better sense of what it is that I need to feel self-actualized.
Now I'm going to channel more of my inner Buddha!
