The hot daily buzz today is that everyone is getting geared up for Cyber Monday! News stations have done their research and are giving you a list of the deals they have found for you, but here is one I think that no one can pass up! $1 items on Ebay.

Ebay has 15 days of "Holiday Doorbuster" deals for you. November 24th - December 8th you can find items for $1. Yeah, that's right, it has unbelievable deals of $1 on items ranging from toys to electronics and even more expensive items. You can't afford to miss these deals. Get on over to Ebay, and it's only $1 so I'm sure you not going to mind putting me on your Xmas list, right?

Social Reshaping

As I was reflecting on an article I just read on CNN-Tweeting the terror: How social media reacted to Mumbai, I began to imagine what main stream media will be like in a few years. What really got me thinking was the very first sentence, "It was the day social media appeared to come of age and signaled itself as a news-gathering force to be reckoned with".

Online social networking is reshaping more than anyone probably ever thought, from how we think of business and market it, to how we create and disseminate the news. In the article mentioned above it talks about, tweets and blogs from those experiencing the action as it happened. Even if that alone was not enough to start the reshaping of the news, just about every station has some sort of way for its viewers to report the news. Take ireport.com for example. With new technology in cell phones like SMS and video all this can and does happen at the exact time an event occurs.

I think it is interesting to watch the collective conscience and reactions of the world happen right on your computer screen. I have the Google Trends widget on my homepage and with it you can see a direct correlation between what is being searched for and what is talked about on the news. But, where do think the news is now getting a lot of its information and story leads? Bloggers and tweeters of course! Sure you get a lot of regurgitated information faster than ever, but it’s an interesting cycle that is beginning to occur.

Everyone wants to be the first to break a story, so how are the news agencies going to keep up and still deliver quality information and not a bunch of online gossip?

Wal-Mart death from black Friday

This is unbelievable!

According to the Associated Press a Wal-mart worker in Long Island sustained injuries resulting in death after a stamped of unruly shoppers burst in the door. The story goes on to say that several other people were hurt as well. What kind of desperate crazy world are we living in? I know times are hard and the kids need Christmas presents, but come on.

Have you had any crazy experiences with black Friday?

Catch a Criminal-Robert William Fisher

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I'm getting a little bored waiting on the feast to begin, so I thought I would start a new series, "Catch a Criminal". I started with this guy because anything involving kids just pisses me off. I am sure he has not had any buzz about him lately, so maybe I can kick it back up and help get this turkey roasted (cheesy, I know). Maybe you can even make some holiday money from the FBI.

ROBERT WILLIAM FISHER IS WANTED FOR ALLEGEDLY KILLING HIS WIFE AND TWO YOUNG CHILDREN AND THEN BLOWING UP THE HOUSE IN WHICH THEY ALL LIVED IN SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA, IN APRIL OF 2001.
CONSIDERED ARMED AND EXTREMELY DANGEROUS
IF YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION CONCERNING THIS PERSON, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR LOCAL FBI OFFICE OR THE NEAREST U.S. EMBASSY OR CONSULATE.
REWARD
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading directly to the arrest of Robert William Fisher.

Save Cash with cashback.com from Windows Live

What it is:

You search for cash back deals at Live Search cashback. Basically, you will be able to build a cash back account based on a percentage of the product price. Your savings will be given to you by your choice of a deposit to your PayPal account, direct deposit to your bank account, or a check in the mail as long as your balance is over $5.

Here you can see my search for a Wii.

As you can see it has listed 4 retailers to start with varying discounts offered. Now you just go to the store and make your purchase with everything you buy from that store eligible for Live Search cashback. It is free, but does require you to sign up. Check one of the links above for all the details as I did not actually purchase the Wii.

OfficeMax has brought back its widely popular ElfYourself.com. You can even quick post it to many social networking sites.

I know it's silly, but check out these stats as presented by MediaPost.com.

"Last year the ElfYourself site supported 193 million site visits. Consumers spent 2,600 years collectively on the site. It was visited by one in ten Americans and ranked No. 1 in "Movers & Shakers" by Alexa Rankings. More than 40% of the people who tried the online app gave OfficeMax credit for bringing goodwill. Thirty percent of those said they would shop at the retailer."

Save money with CouponMom.com and coupon codes

I don't know why I have never looked into this before. The Internet makes it easier than ever to print and have coupons that can save you a lot of money. Power shopping is not a new thing, but it has recently come back to the public attention, with good reason.

This couponmom story has been a featured on Oprah and some news channels. Stephanie Nelson, founder of CouponMom.com, says she can buy a weeks worth of groceries at half the price with just about 30-40 minutes online. She got so good that she started CouponMom.com, where you can go to search through a coupon database and print coupons.

Here is a link to Stephanie's Oprah segment, where she puts it to the test on television.

I know everyone can use this advice with today's economy, thanks Stephanie.

Google's new SearchWiki, Friend or Foe?

What it does- "a way for you to customize search by re-ranking, deleting, adding, and commenting on search results. With just a single click you can move the results you like to the top or add a new site. You can also write notes attached to a particular site and remove results that you don't feel belong."

Does giving people tools that make search more useful to them hurt you as an SEO or even a Blogger who tries to maximize keywords and ranking or are you secure enough with the quality of your content that your not worried?

Here are a few videos to give a little more insight.

Stop junk mail with 41pounds.org

Stop 80-95% of junk mail with 41pounds.org, the only non-profit stop-junk-mail organization. As a positive side note, you will also help reduce deforestation and take one more step to being green!

The cost for five years is $41. That’s $8.20 a year to cover every adult in your household, and they will donate $15 to the nonprofit organization of your choice.

Why do this other than to stop annoying and useless junk mail? According to their site are a few good reasons;

  1. "More than 100 million trees are destroyed each year to produce junk mail. 42% of timber harvested nationwide becomes pulpwood for paper."

  2. "About 28 billion gallons of water are wasted to produce and recycle junk each year."

  3. "You waste about 70 hours a year dealing with junk mail."

Tina Sherman Nude Pics, WTF?

Wow, what a world we live in! A McDonald's Employee+cell phone nudies=the top of Google's search ranking for 12+hours (at the time of posting 9:15am). When I went to sleep last night I only saw 2 Blogs that had picked up this story and now if you do a quick search, it's every where!

By the way, you're not going to find the pics. They have been taken down.

If you are just catching up with the World, here is a quick recap. Tina Sherman's naked pictures have leaked online after her husband forgot his phone in a McDonald food chain. A McD's employee saw them, liked them, posted them and most likely got fired due to the impending lawsuit.

If I thought it would help my ranking, I would leak some nudies too. I think it would do more harm than good! lol

EMILY’s List Executive Director Ellen Moran as the next Communications Director

I thought I would touch on some political buzz that Google is volcanic about.

Ellen Moran has been has been named as communication Director for the Obama White House team. Want to know more about who she is or what Emily's List is, then just click the links to go there.

The name of the site is quite interesting when you find out what the acronym is, Early Money Is Like Yeast" (it helps the dough rise). Here is a quick quote from their mission statement, "EMILY's List members are dedicated to building a progressive America by electing pro-choice Democratic women to office. We believe in the power of women as candidates, as contributors, as campaign professionals, and as voters to bring about great change in our country."

It looks to be an interesting site, as long as you are not pro-life, Republican or sexist.

Can a cyber attack be considered an act of war?

Will or can a cyber attack start a war?

Is the US and China in a cyber war?

These are some questions that I would like to hear responses to from the Global Cyber Community.

The U.S. Defense Department has said China views cyberspace attacks, defense and exploitation as critical for achieving “electromagnetic dominance” early in a conflict.

Is the US to vulnerable?

Do you work for a Tyrant?

If I would have found this site a few weeks ago, I would have written a couple pages. I have pretty much found my "happy place" and moved past it now. The funny thing is a was actually trying to put together a site on the same concept, but gave up over lack of interest.

If you have a boss like some these people, I'm sure you will want to pay a visit to Boss Bitching.com. In there own words, "Boss Bitching is a user driven social content website that allows anonymous postings of stories about bosses".

Here is a sample story;

My boss yelled at me today, and I DO mean yelled. He repeatedly said I was a "effing moron". (censored for online purposes of course). Then he called me an "incompetent moron". Then he sent me an email and said he gives me "simple instructions that even a complete moron could follow".
Read the rest of this story here and why not bitch about yours, it will feel good!

How to Fake Taking a Shower

from wikiHow - The How to Manual That You Can Edit

Have you ever become somewhat irritated of having to take baths when you're in the middle of an important event?

Steps

  1. Start the shower and wait a few moments (this is the time where you would take off your garments).
  2. If possible, splash the water around in the shower to make it look like you were walking in it.
  3. Get dressed in your fresh clothes.
  4. Use water from either
    • The shower
    • A sink

  5. Toss water somewhere near the shower to make it appear like you've got out when you're 'done' taking the shower.
  6. Do the same with a towel, except sprinkle water onto various parts of the towel.
  7. Wait a few more minutes (count how long you usually stay in the shower) before turning off the shower.
  8. Take this moment to rub water over the visible parts of your skin. It'd be more convincing if you added a little water to the areas around your skin as well.
  9. Dampen your clothes a tiny bit; not too much or it'll be a suspicious sight.

Tips

  • Keep the water on cold when you're using the shower; it's to keep warm water from being wasted.
  • Remember to get a good set of clean clothes so a person's suspicions don't arise.
  • If your parents tend to 'smell' you after a shower, try rubbing some body wash on your skin before wiping it off.

Warnings

  • Do not attempt this if you are concerned for your own personal hygiene.
  • If done many times in a row, your parents (if you live with them still) could catch on to it. Only do this when you feel unnecessary.

I want some of what you've got

Anyone interested in link exchanges?

There is nothing better than cross promoting in the business of Blogging. I know first hand that one mention on a top Blog (or any other media outlet) can blow your Blog up with traffic. My Blog traffic tripled for about a week with one mention on a popular top Blog, that I am not going to mention here, for the risk of sending you away from this post. ha ha (If you really want to know, you could look through some of my previous posts on Blogging.)

Also, keep an eye open for an upcoming contest I will be running!

Hey Mom, I'm on the Internet! Just thought I would put a face with the Blog.

Please fill out the poll at the bottom of the home page.

What did you call me?

Are you feeling old? Out of touch? or just can't undestand what the hell anyone is talking about anymore?

Well, I have the solution for you! The Urban Dictionary is an evolving dictionary of slang as defined by those who create it. I suggest you sign up for word of the day and then Urban Dictionary hits your inbox with a free new word every day.

So, go and stay ahead of the curve and be apart of those who are creating a modern English language, one word at a time.

Example:

(merf) noun. acronym for Mom I'd Run From. The opposite of a MILF. A mom you definitely would not want to do.

"I don't know where she gets her good looks, her mom is a MIRF!" "Your momma's so ugly she's not a MILF she's a MIRF!"

The perfect Xmas gift

I found the perfect Xmas gift for that special someone, who you want to be a negative influence on.

The Book of Vice: Very Naughty Things (and How to Do Them)

Product Description:

Somewhere, somebody is having more fun than you are.
Or so everyone believes. Peter Sagal, a mild-mannered, Harvard-educated radio host—the man who puts the second "l" in "vanilla"—decided to find out if it's true. From strip clubs to gambling halls to swingers clubs to porn sets and back to the strip clubs (but only because he left his glasses there), Sagal explores what the sinful folk do, how much they pay for the privilege, and how exactly they got those funny red marks.

But wait, what is this?

What the F*@#k!

It's an e-card from inSPOT.org (This is a site that lets you notify your past sex partners that you have found out that you have an STD).

Here is a sample greeting that is sure to wipe that smile right off your face, "Sometimes there are strings attached." "I got diagnosed with STDs since we were together. Get checked out soon".

This is not something you want to see in your inbox, but be sure to take the appropriate action if you do! Follow the links to the site for more resources.

Blow the dust off your reading glasses people!

I'm back at the keyboard after one hell of a crazy month. Here is a quick recap.

  1. Tried with no luck to find additional contributors to this Blog.

  2. Quit submitting to the Blog due to lack of time from work, school and family.

  3. Quit school due to lack of time from working 50+ hours a week and no time with family.

  4. Lost my job and now have nothing but time.

So, what now? I'm not sure. As far as work goes, I am still looking for that. As far as the future of this Blog, it is still trying to find life and it's purpose. It may be nothing more than an outlet for a any sudden burst of creativity or random thought I need to force upon the world. If however I can fill only one minute of your time, o anonymous reader, then there still may be a place for this lonely Blog.
